St John, Long Lane, Alkmonton, Derbyshire DE6 3DH View on map

Originally built in 1843. This building and several others were endowed by Sir Thomas William Evans who was a mayor of derby and a known associate of William Wiberforce. the church was constructed with pebble walls which is unusual in the midlands. Interior decoration has a unique plaster and paintwork scheme.
