St John of Jerusalem, Lauriston Road, Hackney, London E9 7DH View on map

Grade II listed church. It was designed by E C Hakewill in the early English Gothic revival style, and was completed in 1848. The unusual title of the church, linking it to the Knights Hospitaller, was the choice of its first rector, The Reverend Henry Handley Norris.


Opening Arrangements

All year: Monday 9.30am - 10.30am, Tuesday 7pm - 8pm, Wednesday 5pm - 6pm, Thursday 3pm - 4pm, Friday 12.30pm - 1.30pm and on the following Saturdays 9am - 3pm: January: second and third Saturday, February: first, second and third Saturday, March: every Saturday (and Good Friday), April: first, second and third Saturday, May: first, second and third Saturday, June: every Saturday, July: first, second, third, fourth Saturday, August: every Saturday, September, October, November and December: first, second and third Saturday.

From Hackney Wick alight Victoria Park Road / Lauriston Road).
