St John the Baptist, Church Road, Denham, Suffolk IP21 5DE View on map
Grade II* listed medieval parish church remote from its village, said to have been a chapel to a college sited at nearby College Farm. Restored in 1873. The nave has a fine late 15th century 7 bay roof. Notable interior features are a 13th century stone effigy of a lady, probably a member of the Bedingfield family, and a fine hatchment to Charles I dated 1637 over the chancel arch. The chancel stalls incorporate six medieval miserere seats and some 15th century poppy head bench ends.
