St John the Baptist, Kings Caple, Herefordshire HR1 4TX View on map

Grade I listed church set on a hill adjacent to a Norman motte, overlooking the Wye valley. Built in local red sandstone it dates from the 13th century with later spire, porch and lady chapel. Notable and rare early 17th century pulpit and pews.

A38, 4miles north of Lichfield. Church is sited in NW part of the village alongside the Trent & Mersey canal. Rail: Lichfield (4 miles), Burton (8 miles). Bus: Arriva nos 12 and 112 (Lichfield - Burton).
