Grade II* church built between 1851-53 to the designs of the architect William Butterfield. The spire reaches a height of 220 feet, a landmark which can be seen for many miles around.


Opening Arrangements

All year: Wednesdays (excluding bank holiday weeks) 10.30am - 11am. Sundays (excluding 5th in the month and Christmas day) 10.30am - 11.15am. March - November: first Saturday of the month, 10.30am - 3pm. Third Saturday of the month, 9.15am - 2pm. Second and fourth Fridays in the month, 10.30am - 3.15pm. December - February: Third Saturday of the month, 9.15am - 12.30pm. Also by prior arrangement.


Junction of St John's Road and St John's Crescent, just off Huddersfield ring road. Rail: Huddersfield (three quarters of a mile). Bus: Routes 360, 327 and 549.
