St Jude, Tettenhall Road, Wolverhampton, West Midlands WV6 0EB View on map

Grade II listed church in Gothic Revival style by W.H.Bidlake consecrated in 1869. Comprises chancel, transepts, nave, aisles and western turret with spire which forms a prominent landmark in the north-west of the city.


Opening Arrangements

Tuesday afternoons; Wednesdays; Thursdays; through the church hall at the rear of the church.


1 mile north of A5 and sough of M6 Toll junction T6. Sat Nav use WS7 3QL. From M6 Toll take Brownhills/Burntwood junction T6. At roundabout turn left. At next roundabout take first exit to Hanney Hay Road; at next roundabout take first exit to Highfields Road; straight on at next roundabout to Church Street. Church is on the left passing Uxbridge pub and houses both side. From major dual carriageway and traffic lights on A5 near Brownhills; turn right coming from Tamworth; turn left coming from Cannock/Telford; from A5195 straight across first roundabout on to Hanney Hay Road; first exit at next roundabout to Highfields Road; straight on at next roundabout onto Church Street, passing Uxbridge pub and houses both sides; church is on the left. Rail: Lichfield (4 miles) Cannock (6 miles). Bus: From Lichfield X60, 61 and 62. From Walsall, no. 10 but then a short walk from main road (approx. 5 - 6 minutes)
