Grade I listed church; tower with free standing pinnacles on colonnettes beside the octagonal spire. Interior: 3-bay aisle arcade on columns with crocketed capitals; chancel arch with corbelled shafts; gallery at south end.

Opening Arrangements

St Lawrence is open every day of the year from 9am to sunset. Christmas day 9am to midday


1.5 miles east of A6 then turn at chip shop and follow road.; church on left at bottom of steep hill. Rail: Penrith station 12 miles (taxis available). Bus: one per week from Penrith, 14.20 No 562 from Penrith bus station. No return bus on the same day.
