15th century aisleless church with a 97 foot west tower, enlarged in the 19th century and recently restored. Declared redundant in 1975. Owned by Ipswich Borough Council and re-opened in 2008 as 'The St Lawrence Centre', a community centre for the people


Opening Arrangements

Daily, Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm; Saturdays 10.30am - 3.30pm (café). Access also for community use outside these hours.


In town centre between two pedestrian roads, Tavern Street and Buttermarket. Rail: Ipswich (1 mile). Bus: to town centre then walk. Bus: Ipswich 2 bus stations are a short walk.
