St Martin, Ermine Street, Ancaster, Lincolnshire NG32 3PW View on map

Grade I listed Norman church standing on the site of a Roman Temple and with evidence in the fabric for an earlier Saxon building. Built of Ancaster stone, the chancel and nave date from 1125 - 1140 and the tower was restored in 1912.


Opening Arrangements

Daily: 10am - 5pm in summer, 10am - 4pm in winter.


On the B6403 north of Grantham. Rail: Grantham (8 miles), Ancaster (half mile, limited service). Bus: Centre Bus, no. 27 (Grantham - Sleaford)
