St Mary, Church Road, Ivinghoe, Buckinghamshire LU7 9EH View on map

Grade I listed parish church dating from c1230. Cruciform with central tower rebuilt and aisles widened in 14th century. Restored 1871 by G E Street. Very fine 15th century roofs restored with carved heads on stone corbels. 15th century bench ends with poppyheads carved with faces or figures. Carved marble reredos in memory of Christopher and Charlotte Buckmaster (1896) now in south transept.

All year: daily 9am - 5pm (4pm in winter).


Approximately 10 miles east of Aylesbury, 5 miles south west of Dunstable and 3 miles NE of Tring. Rail: Cheddington (2½ miles), Tring (3 miles). Bus: Arriva No's 61 and 161 (Aylesbury - Luton).
