Parish church, parts of which date from Saxon times. Predominantly Norman construction with a fine tower supporting a pyramidical roof, plus nave, chancel and north chapel. Restored 1863 by Gilbert Scott.

Opening Arrangements
Every Wednesday. March - October 10am - 4pm; February and November 9am - 12pm. Occasional services may be taking place during these times. At other times by prior arrangement with key holders listed on website.

A13, A1014, located on B1420 Rookery Hill next to the Bull public house. Rail: Stanford-le-hope (2¼ miles) or Basildon (4¼ miles) both served from London (Fenchurch Street). Bus: Routes 100 and 374 to Old Corringham stop within 5 minutes walk of the church.
