St Mary, Decoy Drive, Hamden Park, Eastbourne, East Sussex BN22 9PP View on map

Built 1952- 54 by Sir Edward Maufe, architect of Guildford cathedral. An attractive church with a sculptural quality to the interior. A good example of Maufe’s post-war work showing how he could work successfully on a small scale.


Opening Arrangements

Sundays between services 8.30 - 9.30 am and 10.30 - 12 noon. Second Thursday in a month 9am - 12 noon Wednesday as 9am - 12 noon Thursdays 9 -10 and 10.30 - 12 noon


Take A2270, then A2021, follow signs for Hospital A&E. At mini roundabout turn left into Decoy Drive. Church is ½ mile on left. Rail: Hampden Park (1 mile). Bus: Hampden Park - Eastbourne Loop.
