St Mary, Hulver Road

St Mary, Hulver Road, Henstead, Suffolk NR34 7LD View on map

Small thatched village church dating to Norman period and possibly earlier, including a fine Norman south doorway. The nave and chancel are continuous under one long roof. Part of the church was destroyed in the 17th Century, when there was a major fire which also destroyed the village which once sat at this crossroads. Internally there is a fine hand pumped organ.
