Set within historic Lydiard Park, the church is notable for its monuments, fittings and wall paintings. Nave and north aisle 13th century. Chancel, tower and south aisle with porch 15th century. 15th century south chancel chapel much rebuilt in 17th century, along with the St John family chapel.


Opening Arrangements

All year Saturdays and Sundays 11am - 5pm, 1 April - 28 also on Fridays 11am - 5pm. At all other times access can be obtained through the adjacent Lydiard House which is open to the public from Tuesday - Sunday throughout the year from 11am - 5pm. Please note identification is required for the release of a key. Group bookings are made direct through the church minister, normally with 2 weeks' notice for a large group booking. Located behind Lydiard House in Lydiard Country Park, best reached from eastern entrance (Hay Lane) signposted also for the Conference Centre. M4 J16 towards Swindon, off B4354. Rail: Swindon (4 miles). Bus: Thamesdown Transport, routes 1 and 1a (Fleming Way, Swindon town centre - Wilmot Close bus stop).
