St Mary Magdalene, West Street, Yarm, Stockton-on-Tees TS15 9QT View on map

Stone built church dates mainly from a rebuild in 1730 using stone from the Norman church which was badly damaged by fire in 728. Norman west front contains five original windows and a 13th century almond shaped window above. Stained glass includes a work by William Peckitt of York dated 1768.


Opening Arrangements

Wednesdays between 9am-4pm from 30 April 2016 to 19 October 2016. At other times by prior arrangement with the Rector (01642 964664) or Verger (tel: 01642 888786).


On A67. From the north cross bridge and first right into Bridge Street which leads into West street. From South take first left Bentley Wynd which leads into West Street. Rail: Yarm or Eaglescliffe (1½ miles). Bus: No 7 from Stockton, No 17 from Middlesbrough.
