St Mary Magdalene, West Street, Yarm, Stockton-on-Tees TS15 9QT View on map

Stone built church dates mainly from a rebuild in 1730 using stone from the Norman church which was badly damaged by fire in 728. Norman west front contains five original windows and a 13th century almond shaped window above. Stained glass includes a work by William Peckitt of York dated 1768.

April - October: Wednesday 9am-4pm.


On A67. From the north cross bridge and first right into Bridge Street which leads into West street. From South take first left Bentley Wynd which leads into West Street. Rail: Yarm or Eaglescliffe (1½ miles). Bus: No 7 from Stockton, No 17 from Middlesbrough.
