St Mary, The Street, South Walsham, Norwich NR13 6DQ View on map

Grade I listed large parish church dating from 14th and 15th centuries with some 19th century restoration. Interior has fine poppyhead benches with the words from ' Ave Maria ' carved on them and a 15th century rood screen with painted panels and inscription commemorating the manumission of donor John Gault in 1437. Fine stained glass windows by William Moms and Glassworks studio in Norwich.

All year: daily 9am - 6pm in Summer, 9am - 4pm in Winter.


North of A47 approximately 10 miles equidistant from Norwich and Great Yarmouth on B1140. Rail: Acle (4 miles), Norwich (10 miles).
