St Mary the Virgin, Church Drive, Weston on Trent, Derbyshire DE72 2BU View on map

Grade I listed parish church 13 -15th century, restored in 1876-7 by Jolley and Evans. Interior has fine monuments to the Sale family. One being very unusual with the life-sized figures of Richard Sale and his wife plus the smaller figures of children behind all kneeling in a row. Between the figures are panels with rusticated ends, the two either side of the wife surmounted by babies in their cots.

½ mile south of A50, off A514 Derby to Melbourne, village is signposted. Rail: Derby (6 miles), Willington (8 miles)Bus: No 73 from Derby (Mon - Sat, hourly) stops ½ miles away in village.
