St Mary the Virgin, Church Lane, Stoneleigh, Warwickshire CV8 3DN View on map

Grade I listed parish church with chancel, nave and bell tower dating from early 12th century. Norman tower and nave altered in 14th century when the south aisle was added. Fine Norman arch to chancel. Leigh chapel, box pews and gallery added in 1821. Notable monument to Alice, Duchess Dudley d.1668 in her 90th year and wife of Sir Robert Dudley. Since the time of her death the custom has been to recollect her life and charitable work each Whitsunday in the church.

Village is signposted from A429 (Fosseway) at Three Gates crossroads. Rail: Stratford upon Avon (5 miles), Warwick Parkway (8 miles), Leamington Spa (6 miles). Bus: no route.
