The church of St Mary's was appropriated to Norwich Cathedral priory in 1205 and it is during the priory's period of responsibility that the church was entirely rebuilt from c1330 and is grade I listed. The chancel was originally longer in 1300 and was shortened in 1770. The Purbeck marble font dates from 1300.


Opening Arrangements

Church currently closed for extensive repairs until June 2016. Thereafter, open most days of the year, summer 9am - 5pm; winter 10am - 3pm. Key holder details displayed on noticeboard, should the church be closed.


From Hunstanton or Kings Lynn turn at Norfolk Lavender sign through to Sedgeford. Take 1st right, fork immediately right and church is on left. Rail: Kings Lynn (15 miles).
