St Mary the Virgin, Church Street

St Mary the Virgin, Church Street, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire HR9 5HN View on map

Dedicated in 1316 with many additions up to the 19th century. Decorated style with slender columns. Pointed arches and tracery to the windows. Occupies a commanding position above the river Wye and is visible for miles around.


Opening Arrangements

Daily, 9am-5pm. Earlier and later on Sundays when services are taking place.


From A435 take Spernal Lane then turn left towards Morton Bagot and the church is on the right up Farm Drive. From Wootten Wawen (A4300) take the B4089 and the church is on the left. Rail: Henley-in-Arden (4 miles). Bus: no route.
