St Mary the Virgin, Church Street, Isle Abbots, Somerset TA3 6RH View on map

Parish church with fine decorated towers displaying 16th century sculpted figures and 'Hunky Punks'- restored in 2006. 14th century nave and chancel, Norman carved font. Remains of early decorated paintwork on Rood Screen and early coloured glass. Hagioscope in North aisle. Chancel has barrel roof, piscina and sedilia.

All year: daily approximately 9am - dusk (in winter) or about 5pm.


Off A378, 4 miles north of Ilminster, 10 miles east of Taunton. Turn right at Fivehead and follow signs. Rail: Taunton (10 miles), Crewkerne (15 miles).
