St Mary the Virgin, High Street

St Mary the Virgin, High Street, Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire HP18 9AL View on map

Grade I listed church, mainly 13th century with 14th- and 16th-century additions. Built on a cruciform pattern with a central tower. Fine large tomb monument in south transept to Sir John Dormer and wife of 1626 featuring recumbent effigies on an elaborate double-tiered plinth.

Open daily 9am to 5pm.


Off B4011 Thame to Bicester road, at the north end of High Street. Rail: Haddenham and Thame Parkway (5 miles). Bus: Nos 110, 111, 112 and 113 stop at the south end of High Street.
