Grade I listed building. Some Norman remains, but mostly 15th century. Visitors are surprised to see the rather dumpy perpendicular building, with its battlements, buttresses, pinnacles, large gargoyles and waterspouts. Stonework is Ham stone in the finer areas, with infill of lime and chert blocks.
