St Mary the Virgin, Middleton-on-the-Hill, Ludlow, Shropshire SY8 4BE View on map

Grade I listed 12th century church in the Norman style. It is surrounded by farm land and serves the hamlet of Middleton. The tower dates from the 13th century and contains three bells. There is a lantern memorial in the graveyard to commemorate the status of being a 'Thankful Village'.

Daily. The church is only locked if there are workmen or work in progress.


3 miles west of Warwick on A4189. Rail: Warwick Parkway (2 miles). Bus: Stagecoach no 68 from Warwick Parkway station.
