St Michael and All Angels, Blithbury Road, Hamstall Ridware, Rugeley, Staffordshire WS15 3RR View on map

Grade I listed parish church mostly 14th - 15th century but originating from 1120 AD. A single shallow roof covers nave, choir and sanctuary and the clerestory runs the length of the church. Notable features are tower and spire to west end, stained glass east window and medieval panels in the reredos. Rev Edward Cooper, cousin to Jane Austen served here.

Dawn to dusk all year, generally 9am-5:30pm. Other times by arrangement.


Off A4040 Stoney Lane., turn into Blakesley Road., then Church Road. Rail: Stechford (1 mile), Acocks Green (2 miles). Bus: No 11 To Blakesley Road, Nos 73 and 59 to Church Road. Bus 97 from Birmingham to Church Road.
