Built in 1664 by Sir Edward Rhodes, The High Sheriff of Yorkshire as a family chapel to the Old Hall Estate. Sir Edward was a Parliamentarian and the church has direct links to Oliver Cromwell.


Opening Arrangements

Tuesdays: 11am - 3pm and Saturdays: 9.30am - 11.30am school term only. Also one week in mid July and one week in mid August (contact key holder for further details).


Church Street, Great Houghton. Rail: Thrunscoe, Rotherham (1 mile). Bus: Route 219 (from Barnsley and Doncaster).
