St Michael, High Street, Sittingbourne, Kent ME10 4PG View on map

Grade II star listed parish church dating from 11th century onwards with a significant extent of surviving medieval fabric. Architectural details of interest include carved stone heads to the exterior and interior, a 15th-century font and tomb and good stained glass, particularly the Victorian east window of the Last Supper and a memorial window to the First World War in the south transept.


Opening Arrangements

Mondays: June-August: 12pm - 2pm. Wednesdays: all year 9.30am to 10.30am and 11.00am to 12.00pm. Thursdays: all year 5.00pm to 5.30pm. Sundays: all year 9.15am to 10.00am and 11.15am to 12.00pm.


A2, then signs to town centre. The church is at the eastern end of the High Street. Rail: Sittingbourne (¼ mile). Bus: Local and inter-town buses stop outside the church, e.g. Arriva bus 333 (Maidstone - Faversham).
