St Nicholas, Church Lane

St Nicholas, Church Lane, Austrey, Warwickshire CV9 3EB View on map

Grade II* listed church dating from early 14th century with late 13th century tower. Restored and porch rebuilt in 1844 -5 by Ewan Christian. Interior has stained glass in one window dating from 14th century, 13th century stone coffin and wall monument to John, Thomas and Herbert Monck, erected 1706,


Opening Arrangements

10th, 11th, 12th, 13th &14th April, 12pm-6pm; 22nd & 29th April, 6th, 13th & 20th May, 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th June, 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th July, 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th August, 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th September, 10am-4pm. Dependent on available volunteers to man the church.


From A491 Stourbridge ring road follow signs to Ryemarket multi- storey car park. Church is in Market Street opposite supermarket. Rail: Stourbridge (¼ mile). Bus: Frequent buses from Stourbridge bus station (¼ mile) to Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Dudley and Kidderminster
