St Nicholas, Church Road, Potter Heigham, Norfolk NR29 5LH View on map

Parish church dating from the 12th century (chancel, nave and round tower). The walls are constructed in flint and the chancel roof is thatched. There are 14th century wall paintings, a chancel screen and a unique brick (local origin) font, with a spindle in the hammerbeam roof for lifting the original lid. There are over 150 locally embroidered kneelers on display.


Opening Arrangements

Open every day 10am - 4pm (depending on time of year).


Turn north off the A149 at the crossroads at Potter Heigham (Station Road). Turn right at T junction (Church Road). Church is 0.5 miles on left. Rail: Acle 10 miles.
