St Nicholas, Stanningfield

St Nicholas, Stanningfield, Suffolk IP29 4RE View on map

Parish church comprising of a nave of Norman origins with a north door and two other windows dating to that period. The walls are all flint faced with some early 'herringbone' work surviving a low level. Internally the chancel arch features a medieval wallpainting of the Last Judgement.

March to October: Daily 11am - 4pm. November to February: Saturdays 11am - 4pm. .


6 miles south of Bury St Edmunds, off of A134. Rail: Bury St Edmunds.
