Dating from 1839 by Tattersall with clerestory and south transept 1872 by Breakspear. Hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings and fish-scale slate roof. Hammer-beam chancel roof. Stained glass east window by Wailes.


Opening Arrangements

All year: Monday - Wednesday 8am - 11am, Thursdays 8am - 10am and 10.45am - 11.15am and Fridays 8am - 12noon. At other times by prior arrangement with key holders, details displayed on notice boards at entrance.


½ mile north-east of Stalybridge centre, off A6018. Rail: Stalybridge (1½ miles). Bus: route 343 (Hyde to Mossley).
