Grade II listed parish church of 1958 - 59. Designed by Basil Spence, architect of Coventry Cathedral The east and west ends of the building are built entirely in glass, with the north and south sides being brick. Most of the internal furnishings are original, and subsequent additions have been created to fit with the original Spence designs. An unusually transparent design and Spence's best small church.

M1 junction 35. Follow A629 to Chapeltown. At roundabout turn left onto A6135. Right onto Church Lane then 2nd left onto St Mary’s High Street. Take 5th right onto Wordsworth Avenue, church is on left. Rail: Sheffield or Chapeltown. Bus: No's 7, 8 and 8A.
