Grade I listed village church with features dating from 12th and 13th centuries. Best known for its exceptional wall paintings, including one showing the Martyrdom of St.Thomas-a-Becket dating from c1336 and in an excellent state of preservation. Recently conserved 15th Century Doom painting.

First January church is accessible via key holders, List in porch (10am - 3pm only)


In the centre of the village, just off the A361 Banbury to Chipping Norton Road. Bus: No 488 , hourly, Monday - Saturday, Banbury to Chipping Norton. Banbury 9 miles.
