Village church in moorland setting built between 12th and 16th centuries, restored in 1870. Contains 17th century carved and heavily decorated box pews. Old marked gravestone dated 1513.

Buses heading north to/from the stop outside Foregate Rail Station pass St George's Square including nos 144, 144A, 32, 39, 303 and stop at the square. All buses heading south stop at the city centre bus station.
