St Peter Hungate Church, Princes Street, Norwich NR3 1AS View on map

Redundant medieval churcg. Now predominantly 15th century. A church existed here before 1066 and it is believed that some early work survives in the transepts. The tower is one of the most striking in Norwich. The Dedication is a corruption of St John the Baptist and the Holy Sepulchre. Since 2009, it has been the home of Hungate Medieval Art.

Off A147 in Finklegate, Norwich. St Peter Hungate Church is close to the centre of Norwich on Princes Street at the top of Elm Hill, in the Cathedral Quarter. Rail: Norwich 1 mile. Bus: Anglia Coaches service A001 in Ber Street outside John Lewis.
