Grade II listed church with 14th century tower, body rebuilt c1875. Choir stalls with carved poppy heads by John Wolstenholme (York), stained glass windows by Wailes (Newcastle). Fine collection of 18th century wall monuments including the Stringer monument by Guelfi.

March 17th & 20th; April 1st, 2nd,3rd,30th; May 1st, 2nd, 19th; June 1st, 11th, 12th, 26th; July 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 14th; August 3rd, 6th ,7th; September Heritage weekend 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th; October 5th, 8th, 9th; November 6th. Other times by prior arrangement.


Turn off A655 at Heath Common and follow road to Kirkthorpe, church is on left hand side. Rail: Wakefield Kirkgate (2½ miles) Bus: Route 188 from Wakefield stops outside the church.
