Grade II* listed church with 14th century tower, body rebuilt c1875. Choir stalls with carved poppy heads by John Wolstenholme (York), stained glass windows by Wailes (Newcastle). Fine collection of 18th century wall monuments including the Stringer monument by Guelfi.

Turn off A655 at Heath Common and follow road to Kirkthorpe, church is on left hand side. Rail: Wakefield Kirkgate (2½ miles) Bus: Route 188 from Wakefield stops outside the church.
