St Peter, Scremerston, Northumberland TD15 2RL View on map

The Grade II St Peters designed by Bonomi and Cory in 1842-43 was constructed in the early english style. The interior contains pictures of men from the village who lost their lives in both World Wars. In the graveyard there is a memorial to Thomas Johnston, Colliery Manager and Benefactor.

Directions

Take A1 north from Newcastle upon Tyne, past Alnwick. At the first roundabout turn right towards Berwick upon Tweed then first right hand turn to Scremerston. The church is 200 yards on the left. Rail: Berwick upon Tweed (3 miles) Bus: X15 and X18 from Newcastle to Berwick
