The Grade II St Peters designed by Bonomi & Cory in 1842-43 was constructed in the "early english" style. The interior contains pictures of men from the village who lost their lives in both World Wars. In the graveyard there is a memorial to Thomas Johnston, Colliery Manager & Benefactor.


Opening Arrangements

Open Thursdays 8am until dusk and every Sunday morning.


Take A1 north from Newcastle upon Tyne, past Alnwick. At the first roundabout turn right towards Berwick upon Tweed then first right hand turn to Scremerston. The church is 200 yards on the left. Rail: Berwick upon Tweed (3 miles) Bus: X15 & X18 from Newcastle to Berwick
