Grade I listed parish church, 12th - 15th century with later additions. Wall paintings c1440 and three fine monuments to the Leigh family. 17th century oak benches with early 19th century poppyhead bench ends.

Shorwell is on junction of B3323 and B3399 6 miles SW of Newport. Bus: Route 7 from Newport to Brightstone. Nearest railway stations at Southampton and Portsmouth- on the mainland
