St Peter, Stratford Road, Wootton Wawen, Warwickshire B95 6BD View on map

Grade I listed church built 1035 - 40 for Saxon Lord Wagen, the lower tower and parts of lower nave and west wall remain from this date. Enlargements in later centuries represent an entire millennium of English church architecture. Restored in 1880 by GG Scott Jnr. Interior has Saxon Sanctuary exhibition showing the development of the community over the centuries. Fine monuments to Harewell and Knight families.
