Dates from 11th century. 15th - 16th century tall West Tower. Rubblestone walls with 19th century limestone traceried windows with cast and coloured glass. Interior 19th century with exposed roof timbers and painted chancel ceiling. 15th century open wagon roof to south facing porch.

Rural location OS grid ref 55622439. From Aller Cross, South Molton take A399 to Blackmoor Gate, turn left on to A39 (Barnstaple) for (2 miles) turn right, sign post 'to church'. From Barnstaple take A39 to Porte Farm (approx. 10 miles) turn left at sign post to Kentisbury church. Rail: Barnstaple (approx 10.5 miles). Bus: 309, 310 from Barnstaple to Blackmoor Gate, then a (2 mile walk).
