Grade II* listed Catholic church built 1962-64. Architect Gerard Goalen. In situ-pre-cast concrete structure, completed in 1964. Features include stained glass by Patrick Reyntiens, stations of cross sculptures by Mynheer; Millennium Angelus Bell; 100ft needle spire-belfry. Basilica style layout. RIBA award 1996.
Church grounds and main entrance (Narthex and Lady Chapel) 9am - 6pm 7 days a week all year round. Church Interior (Nave and Sanctuary) Monday 10am - 1pm, Friday 10am - 1pm. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 2pm - 5pm by prior arrangement. It is recommended to telephone the parish priest in the first instance, to avoid any clash with Religious Services.
