The Red House, Painswick Rococo Garden
The Red House, Painswick Rococo Garden, Painswick, Gloucestershire GL6 6TH View on map
The Red House is the principal folly building in the garden and displays many of the classic attributes of the Rococo period. The building underwent a substantial stabilisation project to prevent movement to the outer walls. The landscape setting has also been returned to the layout represented in the painting dated 1748 that is the basis of the restoration.
