An ornate and complete municipal swimming pool complex built 1903 - 1906, which has 3 pools, a Turkish and Russian Bath suite, Aeratone and extensive stained glass and tile work. The baths were closed in 1993. Restoration Phase 1 comprising external and structural restoration to the front of the building and Phase I+ comprised restoration of the Gala Pool roof. Now open as a visitor attraction, events, arts and community venue with plans for further restoration work.

Wednesday Guided Tours at 2pm April - November. Sunday Open Days: 9th April, 14th May, 11th June, 9th July, 9th and 10th September, 8th October, 12th November 11am - 4pm. Group visits by arrangement.

1½ miles from city centre via A34. Rail: Manchester Piccadilly or Manchester Oxford Road. Bus: routes 50, 191, 197 or any service stopping in Oxford Road which will require a ½ mile walk.
