An ornate and complete municipal swimming pool complex built 1903 - 1906, which has 3 pools, Turkish and Russian Bath suite, Aeratone and extensive stained glass and tile work. The baths were closed in 1993. Restoration Phase 1 comprising external and structural restoration to front of building has taken place. Phase I plus comprised restoration of the Gala Pool roof. Now open as a visitor attraction, events, arts and community venue with plans for further restoration work.
Wednesday guided tours April to October at 2pm. Sunday Open Days; 8 April, 13 May, 10 June, 8 July, 9 September, 14 October and 11 November 11am - 4pm. Group tours and educational visits by arrangement.
