12th century castle, partly demolished for 16th century house which in turn became ruinous. A dry moat surrounds restored curtain walls which include three fortified accommodation towers.

Between Wilton Bridge and Wilton roundabout on A40. Approach via lane past the Castle Lodge Hotel. Rail: Hereford (16 miles) and Gloucester (16 miles). Bus: routes 37, 38 and 32.
