One of the oldest surviving riding schools in England, dating from the late 16th century of considerable architectural importance. The building is currently undergoing repairs, therefore public access is only possible on a limited basis.


Opening Arrangements

By appointment only until 31st March 2017. Due to current building works, opening times are under review at time of publication, please check with the property for current information. Small charge (£4 for adult) if guided - otherwise no fee.


1½ miles north-west of Dorchester on A37 Dorchester - Yeovil road. Rail: Dorchester (about 2 miles). Bus: Charminster (1/2 mile walk).
