One of the oldest surviving riding schools in England, dating from the late 16th century of considerable architectural importance. The building is currently undergoing repairs, therefore at present public access is only possible on a limited basis.

1½ miles north-west of Dorchester on A37 Dorchester - Yeovil road. Rail: Dorchester (South and West, about 2 miles). Bus: Charminster (1/2 mile walk).
