Selecting the Winners
Shortlisted entries will be judged by a panel of experts.
The public vote
The public vote (now closed) will determine the winner of a sixth award, the Historic England Followers' and Telegraph readers' favourite. Members of the public voted for their favourite shortlisted entries in the following categories:
- Best community action project - sponsored by National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS)
- Best contribution to a heritage project by young people
- Best research project
- Best rescue of a heritage site
The 'Outstanding contribution to heritage' category (sponsored by Aon Private Clients) will not be open to the public vote. Entrants in this category include people who have been working and volunteering in heritage over a long period of time, so the applications in this category are longer and much more time consuming to judge.
The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony in London on 31 October.
