Training Opportunities

The Historic Environment Local Management (HELM) Training courses are free to attend for Local Authority, regional and national organisations' staff.

Listed below are the latest training opportunities in the South East.

  • Easy Access to Historic Places of Worship
    Improve your understanding of the statutory background to accessibility and the historic environment, and share best practice in managing historic places of worship for greater access. The day will include a site visit to Reading Synagogue.
    Thursday 25 May, Reading
  • Heritage Economics and Understanding the Development Process
    This course is aimed primarily at conservation officers, planners, and consultants who are working with heritage sites.
    Thursday 22 June, Brighton
  • The NPPF Decoded
    If you work in development management planning, this practical workshop will help you to deliver the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) consistently and efficiently.
    Wednesday 8 November, location tbc
