Explosives Store, Snailbeach, Shropshire

This explosives store was built in 1863. It is part of the Snailbeach Lead Mine. It is located away from any housing or major centres of activity in the mine. The double-walled construction was intended to contain any explosions caused by accidental ignition of the explosives.
