Downs Junior School, Brighton, Brighton and Hove
The school was built as the Ditchling Road Board School in 1890 to the designs of Thomas Simpson for the School Board of Brighton. The Education Act of 1870 allowed Local Boards of Education to be set up to build and run schools.
