Former Drying House, Frome, Somerset

This building was built in the early 1800s. It was originally used for drying freshly dyed wool. In the 1700s the woollen industry was the main industry in Frome. The town grew and in 1801 its population was larger than Taunton, Bridgwater or Yeovil.
